- Description: Private IFR flight entered spiralling left rapid descent from FL160. Calculated descent rate reached 16,000 fpm before impact with ground. Outer wings and tail separated during descent. SIGMET in area for thunderstorms and hail.

- Description: Soon after take-off, pilot reported ‘fire on board’ and requested immediate return for aircraft which was carrying petrol and propane gas cargo. Ground witness saw fire in No.1 engine followed by explosion and separation of engine. Aircraft began uncontrolled descent and exploded on contact with ground.
