Are you an aviation safety manager or do you know someone who is?
If so, why not apply for one of this year’s CASA safety manager scholarships, or encourage a colleague to put their name in the running.
CASA’s safety manager scholarship program aims to promote a healthy culture of aviation safety in Australia.
Three successful applicants will each receive $5,000 to put towards furthering their professional development.
Andreas Marcelja, executive manager, Stakeholder Engagement Division, believes the scholarships will encourage recipients to enhance their knowledge and skills through professional development.
‘Last year’s scholarship program was a great success, with over 50 applicants – a strong show of support from the industry,’ says Andreas.
‘It’s been exciting to hear how our previous winners have used the scholarship funds to further their professional development.
‘This program aligns with our ongoing efforts to support the evolving role of aviation safety managers, especially since implementing our new flight operations regulations. It’s an essential role in any aviation organisation.
‘Given its significance, this scholarship program is designed to assist individuals committed to promoting a healthy safety culture within their workplace.
‘We’re seeking applications from people who show initiative and consistently demonstrate a high standard of aptitude and leadership.
‘If you know someone who fits that description, please encourage them to apply.’
